Change for EPF Contribution for Expats

On June 25, 2025, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) mandated that employers must register their non-Malaysian employees, excluding domestic workers, for EPF contributions starting October 1, 2025.

Both employers and employees will contribute 2% of wages from October 2025 onward.

The EPF is also refining the registration process for non-Malaysian employees, including automatic registration options and updates on registration status, with further details to be shared periodically.
